Clay Masks

The recipes below each make enough for 10 to 12 applications.


Basic method
:

Mix all of the dry ingredients thoroughly.

Sieve to filter out any large particles. Grind these with a pestle and mortar and re-sieve.

Store the dry mixture in an airtight glass jar until needed.


For each application:

Weigh out 35-40g of the powder then add the essential oils and combine.

Blend with enough spring water to make smooth paste.

Apply to the face avoiding the eyes.

Lie down and relax for 15 minutes.

Rinse off well with just-warm water before applying a natural moisuriser.


Rose & Geranium Balancing Facial Mask

You will need:

for the base...

  • 440g White Clay Powder
  • 50g Pink Clay Powder
  • 5g Aloe Vera Powder
  • 1g Sea Salt (finely ground)
  • 1g Rose Petal Powder
  • 1g Natural Goat's Milk Powder
  • Large Airtight Glass Jar


to make up...

Add a few drops of Rose Otto and Geranium Essential Oil and 2-3g Rose Water
plus spring water if needed to mix to a smooth paste.

Lavender, Chamomile & Patchouli Facial Mask


For oily or combination skin

You will need:

for the base...

  • 435g White Clay Powder
  • 50g Green Clay Powder
  • 5g Aloe Vera Powder
  • 1g Kelp Powder
  • 1g Spirulina Powder
  • 1g Sea Salt (finely ground)
  • 1g Chamomile Powder
  • 1g Goat's Milk Powder
  • Large Airtight Glass Jar


to make up...

Add a few drops each of Lavender, Chamomile and Patchouli Essential Oils,
and enough spring water to mix to a smooth paste.
